All OXC sanctioned races are approved for
NAERIC,
the Ontario Quarter Horse Racing Development Program,
the Off-Track Standardbred Incentive Program and
the Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.).

  

RACE DAY INFORMATION:

- Rider & Horse combinations must have competed at 3 OXC sanctioned races in the 2019 season to be eligible.

- All participants must show proof of carrying personal liability insurance. Failure to provide proof of insurance will result in disqualification with no refund. A current Liability Insurance Policy that covers Equine Related Activities (2019 Accepted types: OE, Intercity, CRHRA or Cheval Quebec) must be on file with the OXC Office to participate in OXC events.

- All entrants must be current members of OXC.

- One entry form required per horse/rider combination. (You can enter more than one division on an entry form with only one admin fee.)

- Neither the 'Hosts' nor the OXC Committee is responsible for loss, injury or damage to animals, equipment and persons whether it be exhibitors or spectators.

- All riders under 18 (Youth and Young Guns) are to wear an ASTM approved riding helmet while mounted.

- There will be 8 divisions running: Young Guns, Youth, Novice, Intermediate, Non-Pro, Futurity, Ride Smart, Pro

- There will be a prelimiary round, with the top riders to return for a final run.

- Participants must pre-register. Admin Fees are non-refundable. Entry fees are non-refundable after entries close (unless provided with a veterinary certificate).

- Entries will close at 6pm on Friday, October 18th. NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED after closing date.

- Once entries close, a final schedule will be released. The proposed start times are subject to change with notice.

- All participant’s names (by division) will be put into a computerized random draw to decide the order of go. No order changes will be permitted and you are expected to be ready to go when called.

- The awards currently include, buckles, and payback. More sponsors may be added by race date.

- This race will follow EXCA rules with regards to tack rules and dress code.

FAIRGROUNDS INFO:

- There will not be access to the stalls / arena at the fairgrounds until 4:00pm Friday, October 25th.

- Participants/horses must vacate stabling / arena areas by 11:59pm on Saturday, October 26th.

- STALLS: they may be rented either overnight (Friday to Saturday) for $55, or a one day fee (Saturday) $35. Stalls will be assigned. There is a $30 refundable fee on stall clean out. If you do not completely clean out your stall before leaving, you will forfit your refund. There is limited stable cleaning tools. Please bring your own equipment to use.

- Shavings may be purchased for $7.25 a bag. This is a pre-order only. You are welcome to bring your own shavings.

- No outdoor panels for over night allowed due to safety and security as requested by Ancaster Fairgrounds.

- Competitors may secure their horses to a trailer during the day, however, you MUST clean up after your horse. Messes left behind are subject to a $30 clean up charge.

- RV Camping overnight WITH hydro hook up is $45 / Camping overnight WITHOUT hydro hook up is $15.

- The arena is heated, so no worries about the cold weather!!!
